HOWEVER, its 250 Ohm impedance was a bit much for my little interface I was using for online jamming. But, lo and behold, when I took a look on Amazon, I found that Beyer-Dynamic were offering an 80 Ohm unit of the "same" DT-990. I have the DT 880 600 ohm black 'Premium Edition' (same for my DT 990). The 990s had some slight sibilance issues that quickly disappeared. I never experienced any overbearing bass issues with either the 880s or the 990s.
